about

Camden is one of the first songs we wrote as a band. We've been playing it live since we first started playing shows. People have been begging for a recorded version, so we met them half way.

Full band version coming soon ;)

lyrics

Camden
The sidewalks of Camden
Are so much more dismal than I had imagined.
And I hope that somehow
you got out alive.
Cause there are times in our lives,
When the world is out to break us.
But it's how we move forward
that really shapes us.
When I look back on what you've been through
And I remember where I've been
I know without a doubt
That we are kin.
I never had a chance to thank you for what you've done.
Our best decisions often times are the hardest ones.
And though our stories might be different, we share that pain
Of finding it inside ourselves to change.
We can be greater than the sum
of the mistakes that we have made;
You and I are gonna rise,
You and I are gonna shine.
And we'll look back on where we came from,
We won't hang our heads in shame
You and I are gonna rise,
You and I are gonna shine
We can be greater than the sum
of the mistakes that we have made;
You and I are gonna rise,
You and I are gonna shine.
And we'll look back on where we came from,
We won't hang our heads in shame
Cause you and I...
Have won this for ourselves.
And though I never may know you
We were always together
As we walked through hell.
I've seen you in my hopes, and in my dreams,
And in the fear that lies between
the spaces of myself that struggle with hate
and the part of my heart that knows it's never too late
To take a chance on ourselves, have a life we deserve
I hope with everything I have you've gotten your turn
We're living in a world that makes us think that we're worthless
I wanted you to know that your decision was worth it.
We're greater than the sum
Of the mistakes that we have made
You and I are gonna rise,
You and I are gonna shine.
And we'll look back on where we came from
We won't hang our heads in shame
You and I are gonna rise
You and I are gonna shine
So bright.
(The person we're becoming matters so much more
than who we've ever been)
